Brief Description<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project started with the concept of \u2018time and movement in space\u2019 dealing with circles and squares. From here I decided to use cement to express my ideas. This led me to acquire technical information on cement, initially to create my circles. All the organisations and companies I contacted were very helpful and as a result I was able to produce the circles in the quality, strength and durability that I wanted. They are made from Irish Cement, Glenview Play sand and Nylon fibres. I tried different types of fibres including polypropylene fibres and the nylon won out. They are presented on MDF board with cement bonding adhesive and I will frame them later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the end my project turned out to be about fluidity, precision, flow and the aesthetics of Cement as a medium to create an art piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
